School Safety - Important Message

The following information is being shared in an attempt to spread awareness of social media posts that are circulating across the nation. Please know, these social media posts warn of threats but are not specific to Pennsylvania and do not contain specific threats, schools, actors, or locations. There are currently no known credible threats to schools in Pennsylvania.

The Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) and the Pennsylvania State Police (PSP) have made PA school districts aware of numerous messages circulating on social media, primarily TikTok, regarding threats of school violence in schools across the nation for tomorrow, December 17.

Again, these threats are not specific to Pennsylvania and do not contain specific threats, schools, actors, or locations.

Wayne Highlands School District maintains school safety as a top priority. The District will remain vigilant in our efforts to maintain a safe learning environment.

Students, staff and families in our school community are reminded to be aware of and report any suspicious activity or threats. Always remember, see/hear something...say something.
