A Message Regarding Damascus Virtual Remote Learning (03-08-2021)

Dear Damascus Area School Community:

As you are well aware, on Friday, March 5, 2021, we were notified of a confirmed case of COVID-19 at Damascus Area School.As a result of contact tracing and in accordance with Pennsylvania Department of Health (DOH) and Pennsylvania Department of Education (PDE) Recommendations for Pre-K to 12 School Buildings Following Identification of COVID-19 Cases, it was determined that Damascus Area School would move to Remote Learning beginning today and run through Wednesday, March 10, 2021.

After further investigation and consultation with the Pennsylvania Department of Health’s Bureau of Epidemiology/Division of Infectious Disease, it has been determined that based on the specific details of this case, the children in the non-impacted classrooms at Damascus Area School can return to in-person instruction tomorrow, Tuesday, March 9, 2021.

We apologize for any inconvenience.It remains our goal to provide continuity of education in a safe manner.As determined by the DOH, it is safe to return to in-person instruction tomorrow, Tuesday, March 9, 2021, as described above.
