Community transmission for Wayne County

August 27, 2021

Dear Wayne Highlands Families:

As per the data that was released earlier today, the level of community transmission for Wayne County remains in the High Transmission (Red) category for a second consecutive week.As previously announced, this will result in face coverings (masks) being required for a period of two (2) weeks, beginning the first day of school, Monday, August 30, 2021.After two (2) weeks, on Friday, September 10, 2021, the community transmission data will be reviewed for further guidance.

Please be reminded, at this time it is still required that individuals wear a mask on planes, buses, trains, and other forms of public transportation traveling into, within, or out of the United States, to include school buses.

If you have questions, please contact your building principal or me.

I wish everyone a great start to the new school year!

Sincerely,

Gregory Frigoletto
District Superintendent
